# Questions, answered

Everything people ask about Kairo Post: the trial, plans and credits, connecting X accounts safely, AI writing, teams, the API and your data.

## The basics

[See every feature](https://kairopost.com/features)

### What is Kairo Post?

Kairo Post is a publishing workspace for X. It researches the news in your niche, writes posts in your voice, makes images, schedules and publishes them, and answers mentions, with your approval before anything goes out and a clear credit price on every action.

### Who is Kairo Post for?

Creators who post on X every day, founders who want a steady presence without spending hours on it, and teams and agencies that run several X accounts and need approvals, roles and client review.

### Which platforms does Kairo Post support?

X only. Everything in Kairo Post is built around how X works: its character counting, threads, media rules, posting limits and API pricing.

### Is Kairo Post allowed by X?

Yes. It uses the official X API, and every account owner signs in on x.com to grant access. We don't automate likes, follows or reply rings, and anything that needs X's approval stays switched off until X grants it.

### Will it post without my approval?

Not unless you say so. Drafts wait for a person to approve them. Publishing on its own is a separate permission you give per account, with a daily post limit, a daily credit limit and an end date. One switch pauses everything.

### Do I need to be technical to use it?

No. You connect an X account by signing in on x.com, tell Kairo Post what the account is about and how it sounds, and approve drafts from a queue. The API, webhooks and MCP server are there for people who want them, but nobody has to touch them.

### How long does it take to get started?

A few minutes. Create a workspace, connect an X account through X's own sign in page, describe the account's topics and voice, and your first drafts can be ready to review the same day.

### What makes Kairo Post different from other schedulers?

Most schedulers only publish what you already wrote. Kairo Post also finds the stories, writes the drafts in your voice with sources attached, makes the images and learns from your results, while every paid action shows its price first and nothing goes out without the approval rules you set.

## Plans, pricing and the trial

[Compare plans](https://kairopost.com/pricing)

### How much does Kairo Post cost?

There are 4 plans: Starter, Growth, Pro and Agency. They range from $19 to $329 a month, and each one includes a monthly allowance of credits, a number of X accounts, team seats and storage. The pricing page shows everything each plan includes.

### What does each plan include?

Starter: $19 a month, 1,200 credits a month, 1 X account, 1 seat and 1 autopilot. Growth: $59 a month, 4,000 credits a month, 3 X accounts, 2 seats and 5 autopilots. Pro: $129 a month, 10,000 credits a month, 10 X accounts, 5 seats and 20 autopilots. Agency: $329 a month, 27,000 credits a month, 30 X accounts, 15 seats and 100 autopilots.

### Is there a discount for paying yearly?

Yes. Every plan can be paid yearly, which costs the same as 10 months, so you get 2 months free.

### Is there a free trial?

There is a paid trial instead of a free one: $1 for 7 days with 150 credits, so you can publish for real. We email you 3 days before the plan starts, and you can cancel in one click until then.

### Why does the trial cost money?

Publishing to X, AI writing and images cost us real money on every action, so a small trial fee keeps the trial open to genuine users and lets it include real credits instead of a demo.

### What happens when the trial ends?

The plan you picked starts automatically and is charged at its normal price, unless you cancel before the 7 days are up. We send a reminder 3 days before it starts.

### Can I take the trial more than once?

No. There is one trial per person, workspace and X account.

### Is there a free plan?

No. Every plan is paid, because every published post and AI request has a real cost. The 16 free tools on this site need no account, and the trial lets you use the full product for a small fee.

### Can I change plans later?

Yes. Upgrade or downgrade from the billing page in the app. Your limits follow the new plan and your content stays where it is. How the price change is applied is shown before you confirm.

### How do I cancel?

In one click from the billing page in the app, or by emailing support@kairopost.com. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for.

### Can I get a refund?

If you are unhappy with a subscription payment, contact us within 14 days of the charge and we will review it in good faith, taking into account how much of the period and its credits you used. Trial fees and credit packs are not refundable, except where the law requires it.

### Which currency are prices in?

US dollars, unless checkout says otherwise. Taxes are added where the law requires them.

### Do prices ever change?

Prices and credit rates can change, but you get at least 30 days' notice before a price increase applies to your subscription, and it only takes effect at your next renewal, so you can cancel first. A price you already accepted for an action is always honoured.

### Who handles payment?

Whop hosts checkout and subscriptions, and acts as merchant of record where checkout says so. Kairo Post never sees your full card number, and credits are only added after Whop confirms the payment.

## Credits

[How credits work and the full rate card](https://kairopost.com/credits)

### What is a credit?

Credits pay for work that costs us money to run, like publishing to X, AI writing, images and web research. Every action shows its credit price before it runs, and you are only charged when the work finishes. Drafting by hand, scheduling, approvals and team features are free.

### How many credits does a post cost?

Publishing a post, a reply or one post of a thread costs 3 credits. A post that contains a link costs 40 credits, because X charges more to publish posts with links.

### How much does an AI draft cost?

A typical draft costs 1 to 14 credits, depending on the model you choose, from Economy to Frontier. You pay for what the AI really uses: the price shown first is the most it can cost, a short draft costs less, and a long thread costs more.

### Is any AI free?

Yes. Quick edits and short drafts with the Economy model cost no credits, up to a daily limit per workspace: Starter 30, Growth 60, Pro 150, Agency 300 a day.

### How much does an image cost?

An AI image costs 2 to 45 credits depending on the model, and 15 with the recommended Standard model. An information card made from your own template, with no AI, costs 1 credit.

### Why do posts with links cost more?

X charges more to publish a post that contains a link, so link posts have a higher rate. The composer shows the price before you schedule one.

### What does it mean that credits are held?

When paid work starts, its price is set aside from your wallet. If the work succeeds the hold is charged; if it fails or you cancel it, the hold is released and you pay nothing.

### What happens when I run out of credits?

Paid work waits instead of failing, and nothing starts without enough credits, so you are never billed by surprise. You get a low balance alert first, and automatic top ups can prevent it entirely.

### Can I buy more credits?

Yes. Credit packs range from 500 credits for $7 to 10,000 credits for $99. Buy one whenever you like, or turn on automatic top ups with a monthly limit you choose.

### Do monthly credits roll over?

Plan credits refresh each billing period and don't carry over. Credit packs are used after plan credits and last 12 months.

### Is there one wallet for my whole team?

Yes. A workspace has one shared wallet, and owners and admins can set budgets so no single account or automation can spend more than you allow.

### Can I get money back for unused credits?

Credits have no cash value and credit packs are not refundable, except where the law says otherwise. See the Terms of Service.

## X accounts and safety

[Accounts and teams](https://kairopost.com/features/teams)

### How do I connect an X account?

Click connect, sign in on x.com and approve Kairo Post. X uses OAuth 2.0 with PKCE, so your password is typed on X's own page and never reaches us.

### Does Kairo Post ever see my X password?

Never. Account owners approve access on x.com, and Kairo Post only receives an access token. Tokens are encrypted, refreshed automatically and never shown in the app or sent to the browser.

### How many X accounts can I connect?

It depends on your plan: Starter includes 1, Growth includes 3, Pro includes 10, Agency includes 30.

### Can my posts get my account suspended?

Kairo Post is built to stay inside X's rules: it uses the official API, respects X's posting limits, never automates likes, follows or reposts, and checks campaign posts for near duplicates. You stay responsible for what you publish, so review drafts before they go out.

### How many posts can an account publish a day?

Each connected account can publish 10 posts in any rolling 24 hours, and you can set a lower daily limit per account.

### What happens if X disconnects my account?

Kairo Post checks the health of every connection. If X revokes access, you are told straight away and can reconnect without losing any drafts, schedules or history.

### Can I disconnect an account?

Yes, whenever you like, from Kairo Post or from your X settings. Its access token is deleted when you disconnect, and reconnecting later keeps your content.

### Does Kairo Post follow, like or repost for me?

No. Kairo Post does not automate likes, follows or reposts, and it never runs engagement groups or reply rings. It helps you publish and hold real conversations.

## AI writing, voice and visuals

[AI writing and voice](https://kairopost.com/features/ai-writing)

### Which AI models does it use?

Leading models from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google and others, grouped into tiers from Economy to Frontier. You choose the model per account, and every request shows its credit price before anything runs. AI is included with every plan, so there are no AI keys to manage.

### Will my posts sound like AI?

Each account has its own voice rules, examples you approved and a list of phrases to avoid. Drafts are checked against all of them before you see them, and you can edit every draft.

### Can I edit drafts?

Always. Drafts are yours to edit, and every edit is kept in the revision history.

### Does Kairo Post check facts?

Every factual claim in a researched draft links to the passage that supports it, so you can open the original source before you approve. AI can still be wrong, so review drafts before publishing.

### Is my content used to train AI models?

No. We do not use your content to train AI models. Material is only sent to an AI provider when you ask for a draft, an image or another AI action.

### Who owns what Kairo Post writes?

You do. You keep all rights to your content, and as between you and us you own the output generated for you, to the extent the law allows.

### Can Kairo Post make images?

Yes. It can render information cards from your own templates, which are precise and inexpensive, or generate AI images from a brief based on the story, following the account's saved style. You can also upload your own media.

### Does every image get alt text?

Yes. Kairo Post drafts alt text for every image, and you can edit it before the post is published.

### Is AI generated media disclosed?

Kairo Post records how each image was made and carries AI media disclosures to X when they apply.

## Publishing and scheduling

[Scheduling](https://kairopost.com/features/scheduling)

### Can I schedule threads?

Yes. Write a thread in the composer, see where each post splits and how many characters it uses, and schedule it like a single post.

### What if a thread fails halfway?

The posts already published stay published, and the thread resumes from the next post instead of starting over and duplicating the beginning.

### Can a post go out twice?

No. If X doesn't confirm a post, Kairo Post checks whether it was created before doing anything else, and asks you when the result is unclear.

### How are characters counted?

The same way X counts them: most Latin characters count as one, emoji and many other scripts count as two, and every link counts as 23 characters however long it is.

### Which time zone are posts scheduled in?

Each workspace and account has its own time zone, and schedules follow it, including daylight saving changes.

### Can I block certain days or hours?

Yes. Add blackout dates and quiet hours per account, and scheduled posts move to the next open slot.

### What happens if Kairo Post is down at posting time?

Nothing is lost. When it's back, each account follows its missed slot rule: skip the post, or publish it once within a window you choose.

### Does Kairo Post suggest the best time to post?

Yes. Timing results from your own analytics feed into suggested posting slots, and you decide whether to follow them. The free best time to post tool shows the idea without an account.

## Autopilot, research and campaigns

[Autopilot](https://kairopost.com/features/autopilot)

### What does Autopilot do?

Autopilot follows rules you write: which sources to read, what to post about, how often and in which voice. It turns new stories into drafts on a schedule, and they wait for approval unless you allow publishing on its own for that account.

### Can Autopilot publish without me?

Only if you turn that on for an account, and only with a daily post limit, a daily credit limit and an end date. By default every draft waits for a person to approve it.

### Does a paused rule spend credits?

No. Pausing stops new work from starting, and nothing is charged for work that doesn't happen.

### Can I see why something was posted?

Yes. Every run keeps the rule version, the sources it read, the model it used, who approved it and what it cost.

### Which news sources can I add?

Any RSS or Atom feed, plus web search for background. You can mark sources as trusted and exclude domains you never want read or cited.

### Does research cost credits?

Reading your feeds does not. Web searches that add background to a story are priced per search, at 1 credit each, and the price is shown before a search runs.

### How does it avoid repeating a story?

Stories are grouped when several outlets cover the same event, and anything an account already posted about is skipped.

### What is a campaign?

A campaign coordinates one launch or announcement across several X accounts. Each account gets its own angle and its own drafts, near duplicates are flagged, and nothing is scheduled until every release condition is met.

## Inbox and analytics

[Analytics](https://kairopost.com/features/analytics)

### Does Kairo Post reply automatically?

Only to people who explicitly asked to hear from you, and every automatic reply includes an opt out. Everything else is drafted for a person to review and send.

### Why do mention refreshes cost credits?

X charges for reading posts, including mentions, so each mention read costs 1 credit. Kairo Post shows the price before each refresh and lets you choose how often mentions are checked.

### Can several people work in the inbox?

Yes. Assign conversations, leave internal notes and see who replied to what.

### Where do the analytics numbers come from?

Post and account metrics are read from the official X API. Link clicks come from tracked links you create in Kairo Post.

### Does reading analytics cost credits?

Yes, because X charges for reading post metrics (1 credit per post). You choose how often metrics refresh, and each refresh shows its price first.

### Can I send reports to clients?

Yes. Schedule a weekly or monthly report for any account and it arrives by email.

## Teams and agencies

[Accounts and teams](https://kairopost.com/features/teams)

### Can my team use Kairo Post?

Yes. Invite teammates as owners, admins, editors or viewers, limit people to specific accounts, and require approval before anything is published.

### How many team seats do I get?

It depends on your plan: Starter includes 1 seat, Growth includes 2 seats, Pro includes 5 seats, Agency includes 15 seats.

### Do teammates need my X password?

Never. Each X account is connected once by its owner through X's own sign in page, and teammates get access inside Kairo Post.

### Can I limit someone to one account?

Yes. Editors and viewers only reach the accounts you give them, and you choose edit or view access for each.

### Can clients review posts without an account?

Yes. Send a private approval link and clients can review and approve posts without creating an account.

### Is Kairo Post good for agencies?

Yes. Agencies can keep each client in its own workspace, give clients approval links, send scheduled reports and limit staff to the accounts they manage. The Agency plan includes the most accounts and seats.

### Is there an audit log?

Yes. Changes to access, billing and publishing are recorded with who did what and when, and audit records can't be edited from the product.

## API, webhooks and MCP

[API and webhooks](https://kairopost.com/features/developers)

### Is there an API?

Yes. The REST API is described with OpenAPI, so you can explore it and generate a client in your language. API access and webhooks are included on the Pro and Agency plans.

### Can the API publish without approval?

No. API calls follow the same approval rules as the app, and keys can be limited to creating drafts only.

### How do I verify a webhook?

Compute an HMAC SHA256 of the webhook id, timestamp and raw body joined by dots, using your endpoint secret, and compare it with the signature header in constant time. The free webhook signature verifier shows each step.

### What is the Kairo Post MCP server?

MCP is an open standard that lets AI assistants use other apps. The Kairo Post MCP server at https://mcp.kairopost.com/mcp lets Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants that support MCP connectors work in your workspace, with the role and permissions you give them.

### Can an AI assistant post to X without me?

No. It can prepare posts, schedules and replies, but anything that goes out or costs credits waits for you to approve it in Kairo Post.

### How do I disconnect an AI assistant?

Open AI connections in your Kairo Post settings and disconnect. It stops straight away.

## Free tools

[All free tools](https://kairopost.com/tools)

### Are the tools really free?

Yes. All 16 tools are free, with no sign up, no trial and no limit on how often you use them.

### Is what I type into the tools stored anywhere?

No. Every tool runs entirely on your device. Your text, images and numbers are never uploaded, and the tools make no calls to AI services or to X.

### Do the tools need an X account?

No. None of them connect to X. They follow X's published rules, such as how characters are counted and which image sizes to use, so you can check your work before you post.

### Can I suggest a tool?

Yes. Write to support@kairopost.com with what you need and why. We build the ones that many people ask for.

## Privacy, security and your data

[Security](https://kairopost.com/security)

### How does Kairo Post keep my account secure?

Passwords are stored only as a salted hash, repeated failed sign ins are slowed down and locked out, authenticator codes protect owners and admins, and you can see and end every session.

### Is my data separated from other customers?

Yes. Every record belongs to a workspace and every request is checked against it on the server. Automated tests prove one workspace can't read or change another's data.

### Do you sell my data?

No. We do not sell personal data, we do not share it for cross context behavioural advertising, and we do not use your content to train AI models.

### Can I export my content?

Yes. You can export your content at any time from the app's settings.

### How do I delete my account?

Close your account from the app's settings, or email support@kairopost.com. Your account data is deleted, apart from records the law requires us to keep, such as invoices.

### Where is my data stored?

Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Transfers from the UK, the EEA and Switzerland are covered by adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses, as the Privacy Policy explains.

### Does the website use cookies?

The website loads one measurement script from Whop, our payment provider, to count visits and connect them to sign ups and purchases. The app only uses strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in.

### How do I report a security issue?

Email support@kairopost.com with "Security report" in the subject, the details and the steps to reproduce it. Please give us reasonable time to fix it before disclosing, and don't access data that isn't yours.

## Support and company

[Contact us](https://kairopost.com/contact)

### How do I contact support?

Email support@kairopost.com. Support, billing, sales, privacy, security and press all go to the same inbox, and a person on the team answers.

Kairo Post was founded by Jonas Ben, who also writes the guides and builds the free tools on this site. The about page explains why it exists and the principles behind it.

### Where can I learn to grow on X?
