# X content calendar generator

A content calendar is a month of post slots, each with a date, a theme and a format. Name your pillars and rhythm, then download the month as a spreadsheet or a calendar file.

- Runs in your browser
- Nothing uploaded
- No sign up

Live. Everything runs on your device. Nothing is uploaded

## How to use the generator

1. ### Name your pillars: Swap the examples for three to five themes and give each a share.
2. ### Set your rhythm: Pick your posting days and posts per day. Start lower than you think.
3. ### Balance the formats: Move the sliders for single posts, threads, images and polls.
4. ### Download and write: Save the month as a CSV or an .ics calendar file, then fill the slots.

## How to choose your content pillars

A pillar is a theme you return to again and again. It saves you from the blank box and teaches readers what to expect from you.

- Test 1: ### You could write ten posts on it today: If not, it is a topic, not a pillar.
- Test 2: ### Someone you want to reach cares: Map each pillar to a reader and what they get.
- Test 3: ### It leads somewhere: At least one pillar connects to what you sell or build.

An example weighting. Teaching usually earns the largest share; opinions and stories keep the account human.

- Teach40%: How to guides, tips, mistakes to avoid. e.g. How you price a new plan.
- Show the work25%: Behind the scenes, numbers, builds in progress. e.g. This week's support queue and what it taught you.
- Take a position20%: Opinions on your field, argued with reasons. e.g. Why you stopped offering annual discounts.
- Prove it15%: Customer stories and results in their words. e.g. How one customer cut reporting time.

## A library of posting cadences

Each pattern can be set with the posting days and posts per day controls. Choose the one you can keep up for three months.

- ### Three a week starter: 3 a week: M T W T F S S: New accounts building a habit: Watch: long gaps; make each post count
- ### Tuesday and Thursday deep dives: 2 a week: M T W T F S S: Experts writing long threads: Watch: set threads to half the mix or more
- ### Weekday operator: 5 a week: M T W T F S S: Most business accounts: Watch: weekends go quiet
- ### Daily operator: 7 a week: M T W T F S S: Personal brands, weekend readers: Watch: needs a buffer of drafts
- ### Weekday launch: 10 a week: M T W T F S S: A launch or big announcement: Watch: one or two weeks, then step down
- ### Two a day builder: 14 a week: M T W T F S S: Teams or a daily news beat: Watch: quality slips first

## A sample month, explained

The example the generator opens with: October 2026, one post each weekday, four pillars weighted 40, 25, 20 and 15.

| Mon | Tue | Wed | Thu | Fri | Sat | Sun |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| | | | 1 How to guides Single post | 2 Behind the scenes Poll | 3 | 4 |
| 5 Opinions Single post | 6 How to guides Poll | 7 Customer stories Single post | 8 Behind the scenes Single post | 9 How to guides Image | 10 | 11 |
| 12 Opinions Single post | 13 How to guides Image | 14 Behind the scenes Thread | 15 Customer stories Single post | 16 How to guides Thread | 17 | 18 |
| 19 Opinions Single post | 20 How to guides Thread | 21 Behind the scenes Single post | 22 How to guides Single post | 23 Customer stories Single post | 24 | 25 |
| 26 Opinions Single post | 27 Behind the scenes Image | 28 How to guides Thread | 29 How to guides Image | 30 Behind the scenes Thread | 31 | |

22 posts, one per weekday

Pillars land close to their share, spread evenly so none bunches up

- How to guides 9
- Behind the scenes 6
- Opinions 4
- Customer stories 3

The white tick is each pillar's target share.

Formats follow the mix. Check threads fall on days you have time.

- 11 single post s
- 5 thread s
- 4 image s
- 2 poll s

Every slot comes with a starting angle, like "Breakdown of a result". Treat it as a prompt, not a rule.

## Turn one idea into four posts

One good idea can fill several slots in different formats, spread over a few weeks so it never feels repeated.

We cut onboarding from seven steps to three

1. Thread Week 1: ### The full story: The seven steps, the four you cut, and what happened to signups.
2. Image Week 1, two days later: ### The before and after: Two screenshots side by side, one line of caption.
3. Single post Week 2: ### The lesson: Every step you add needs a reason a new user would agree with.
4. Poll Week 3: ### The question: How many steps does your onboarding have? Four ranges.

Each version must add something new: X's rules discourage repetitive content. Unsure if two are too close? Try the [duplicate post checker](https://kairopost.com/tools/duplicate-post-checker).

## Content calendar questions

### What is a content calendar for X?

A plan of what you will post and when, usually a month at a time. Each slot has a date, a time, a theme and a format, so you know what a post is for before you write it.

### How many content pillars should I have?

Three to five suits most accounts. Fewer gets repetitive; more makes it hard for readers to remember what you are about. You can rotate a pillar out next month.

### How often should I post on X?

As often as you can keep up with quality for months. Three posts a week you never miss beat two a day that stop after a fortnight. Add a day once your rhythm feels routine.

### How do I import the calendar file?

Download the .ics file. In Google Calendar use Settings, then Import. In Apple Calendar use File, then Import. In Outlook use Add calendar, then Upload from file. Each slot becomes a 15 minute event.

### Why are the times in the calendar file fixed?

They are placeholders so each slot has a place in your day. They are saved without a time zone, so they appear at that local time wherever you open them. Move them to suit your audience.

### Does the generator write the posts for me?

No. It plans the month and suggests an angle per slot; you write the posts. Kairo Post can draft them in your voice and schedule them, with your approval before anything goes out.

### Is my plan stored anywhere?

No. The generator runs in your browser with no sign up and no cost, and files are created on your device. The plan is gone when you close the page unless you download it.

From plan to published

In Kairo Post, recurring slots fill from your approved drafts, publish on each account's time zone and skip quiet hours.
