A sample is loaded, and your own image never leaves your device. 1. 01: ### Choose the target: Pick header, profile photo or one of the post shapes. 2. 02: ### Add your image: Choose or drop a file. It is read by your browser and never uploaded. 3. 03: ### Position and zoom: Drag to move, then pinch, scroll or use the buttons to zoom. 4. 04: ### Check the guides: Keep text out of the shaded header bands and faces inside the circle. 5. 05: ### Download: Pick PNG for graphics and text or JPEG for photos, at the exact size. Detail B ## The X header safe zone, explained X's [help page on headers](https://help.x.com/en/managing-your-account/common-issues-when-uploading-profile-photo) says 60 pixels at the top and bottom could be cropped, depending on screen and browser. Worked example: a tagline 180 px from top 30 px: may be cut Detail C ## X post image sizes: single and multiple ### One image Between 2:1 and 3:4 it shows in full, per [X's help on pictures](https://help.x.com/en/using-x/posting-gifs-and-pictures). Outside that range, expect a crop. ### Two to four images They share a grid of previews that may show only part of each. Keep subjects central and text off the edges. Match the symptom, then apply the fix. ### Soft all over The original is smaller than the target, so it is enlarged. Start from an original at least as large. The cropper warns you. ### Fuzzy edges around text Text and flat graphics saved as JPEG. Save cards, screenshots and logos as PNG. ### Blocky colour steps Heavy compression or repeated saving. Export once from the original, at the final size. ### Sharp on desktop, soft on a phone Thin lines vanish when a large image is shown small. X recommends 1500 by 500 pixels, a 3:1 shape. Up to 60 pixels at the top and bottom may be cropped on some screens, so keep important content in the middle band. ### What size is the X profile photo? X recommends 400 by 400 pixels. It is uploaded square and shown as a circle, so keep the subject centred. Use JPEG, PNG or GIF under 2 MB. ### What is the best image size for an X post? There is no single required size. A single image shows in full between 2:1 and 3:4, so 1600 by 900, 1080 by 1080 and 1080 by 1350 all work. Keep each photo under 5 MB. ### How many images can I add to one post? Up to four photos per post, according to X's help center. Each can have its own image description of up to 1,000 characters. ### Why does my header look cut off? The header shows at different widths on different screens, and up to 60 pixels at the top and bottom may be cropped. The profile photo also covers the lower left. Keep text in the middle band. ### Why does my image look blurry on X? Usually the source is smaller than the space it fills, so it gets enlarged. Text saved as JPEG and images resized many times also blur. Start from a larger original and save graphics as PNG. ### Does this cropper upload my photos? No. There is no sign up and no cost. The image is read with your browser's FileReader and drawn on a canvas on your device; nothing is sent to a server. ### Can I use WEBP images on X?
